Every woman should have her first gynecological visit between ages 13–15, or when she first becomes sexually active. Annual check-ups are recommended thereafter. Visit promptly if you notice unusual symptoms like irregular bleeding, pelvic pain, or discharge changes.
Typically: once a month in the first and second trimesters (up to 28 weeks), every 2 weeks from 28–36 weeks, then weekly from 36 weeks until delivery. For high-risk pregnancies, visits may be more frequent. Dr. Rathika will create a personalized schedule for you.
